Born in Hunterdon County, NJ on December 22, 1914, she was the daughter of the late Grover Snyder, Sr., and Phoebe Hardenburg.

She was formerly employed as a restaurant worker at the Yellow Caboose in Flemington, NJ.

Carolyn was predeceased by her husband, Marshall Fields, Sr., who died in 1968.

Interment in Cherryville Mountain View Cemetery, 594 Cherryville Road, Flemington, NJ.
