Carol E. Sipler, née Hill, passed away peacefully on April 12, 2026, in Flemington, New Jersey. Born on September 1, 1958, in Orange, New Jersey, Carol lived a life marked by dedication, generosity, and remarkable kindness. She was a cherished wife, sister, aunt, and friend whose presence enriched the lives of all who knew her.
Carol’s journey began in Orange, NJ, and she was a proud graduate of John F. Kennedy High School in Iselin, New Jersey. She furthered her education at Douglas College of Rutgers University. For over fifty years, Carol called the Menlo Park Terrace section of Woodbridge, NJ, her home before relocating to Flemington in 2008. It was here that she embraced her later years with grace and community spirit.
A consummate professional, Carol started her career as a teller for First Savings & Loan Association, which eventually became Provident Bank. Throughout her tenure, she rose to become Branch Manager at multiple locations, a testament to her leadership, decisiveness, and problem-solving abilities. She concluded her banking career in the Records Retention Department, leaving behind a legacy of dedication and excellence. After moving to Flemington, Carol extended her work life at ShopRite of Flemington, where she began as a cashier and was promoted to oversee the Courtesy Service area as well as the Catering Department. Her commitment and warmth were cherished by colleagues and customers alike.
Carol was a woman of varied and heartfelt interests. She possessed a beautiful singing voice and found joy in listening to opera and the music of David Bowie. Her talent as a seamstress and crafter brought comfort and beauty to her home and to those around her. She had a deeply rooted passion for reading, with a particular fondness for novels set in the Middle Ages. Carol’s culinary talents were equally beloved; she delighted in cooking and baking family favorites such as macaroni and cheese and lasagna, and her mince meat cookies were especially treasured at family gatherings. Alongside her husband Warren, she enjoyed many memorable trips to Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, creating lasting memories through their shared love of travel.
Carol was known for her generous spirit, always putting others before herself. She was a great friend and a dependable decision-maker, qualities that endeared her to all who sought her counsel or shared in her companionship.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 17 years, Warren Sipler; her sister, Lynn Dolce and brother-in-law, Ron Dolce of Rahway, NJ; her nieces, Tessa Dolce, Jocelyne Dolce and husband Jeffrey Kuhn; sisters-in-law, Carol Plumstead and her husband, Keith of Delaware Township, NJ, and Cathy White and her husband, Dean of Fort Mill, SC; brother-in-law Wayne E. Sipler of Flemington, NJ; nephews Brian Sipler, Eric Plumstead and his wife Lisa; niece, Wendy Avila and her husband Carlos; as well as nieces and nephews Emma, John, and Lia. Their love and support stand as a testament to Carol’s enduring impact on her family.
Carol was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Peter and Barbara (Senft) Hill, as well as her sisters Barbara Ann Hill and Debra Ann. Their memories remain cherished in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
