Carmine Peter Fusco, age 56 years, of Tewksbury Township, NJ, lost his year-long battle fighting pancreatic cancer on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family. After fighting with everything he had and encountering complications at every turn, his body knew he needed a rest.
Born in Benevento, Italy, June 29, 1964, son of Libero and Anna Viola Fusco, he came to the United States as a baby and grew up in New Providence, NJ and after marrying lived in Warren, NJ and has currently been living in Tewksbury for the past 20 years.
Carmine was a landscape architect and owner of Landscape Aesthetics, Inc. which he founded in 1987. He was an avid member of South Ridge Community Church, Clinton, NJ, where he was a small group leader, acted on the drama team, and participated with several mission trips, including going to New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina and going to Mexico twice to help build an outreach camp. Carmine enjoyed many activities including learning how to play bass guitar later in life, cycling, boating, hiking, and exploring and admiring arboretums.
Surviving in addition to his parents, are his loving wife of thirty-one years, Renee Fusco; three children: Sienna Roman and her husband, Dionisio of Lambertville, NJ, Skyler and Evan Fusco both of Tewksbury, NJ; one sister, Rossana Canale and her husband, Rick of Bloomsbury, NJ; his in-laws, Clara and Robert Shillis and William and Patricia Smith along with a host of nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at South Ridge Community Church located at 7 Pittstown Road, Clinton, NJ on Monday, February 22, 2021 at 12:00 pm under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Visiting hours are open to the public and will be at South Ridge Community Church on Monday, February 22, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. Due to COVID restrictions, the service at 12:00 noon is by invitation only. For those wishing to stay, the service will be streamed in the South Ridge Activity Center. It can also be viewed online through the link on the South Ridge homepage (www.southridgecc.org, click Online Services and/or Live Stream). Interment will follow in Somerset Hills Memorial Park, Basking Ridge, NJ.
