Born in Pennsylvania in 1878, she was the daughter of the late Brewer Rittenhouse and Isabelle Chamberlain.

She was predeceased by her husband, Judiah Higgins, who died in 1953.

Interment in Prospect Hill Cemetery, 69 Capner Street, Flemington, NJ.
