Beatrice A. Quick

October 22, 1912 — June 5, 1992

Beatrice A. Quick, 79, died June 5, 1992 in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township.

Born in Middlebush, she lived in Ringoes since 1936.

A retired teacher, she taught in the Raritan Borough Elementary School and the Glen Gardner Elementary School. From 1947 to 1956, she operated the Christian Day School, Ringoes. She later assisted with the founding of several additional Christian schools and served as a substitute teacher in several Hunterdon County schools.

She was a member of the Kirkpatrick Memorial Presbyterian Church of Ringoes, and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Amwell Valley Fire Co., Ringoes, and served for several years as the dispatcher for the Amwell Valley Fire Co. and the Amwell Valley Rescue Squad, Ringoes.

Daughter of the late Elmer T. and Mary Alice (Voorhees) Smith, she is survived by two sons, Lynn Quick of Ringoes and Wayne Quick of Intercourse, Pa.; a sister, Gladys Kovatch of Clearwater, Fla.; and four grandchildren.

Funeral services were held in the Kirkpatrick Memorial Presbyterian Church, Ringoes.

Interment was in Amwell Ridge Cemetery, Ringoes, under the direction of the Holcome-Fisher Funeral Home, Flemington.
