Barbara J. Sanfedele

Barbara J. Sanfedele, age 78 years, of Flemington Borough, NJ, died Sunday, February 7, 2016 at her home.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, May 10, 1937, daughter of the late Michael and Josephine Di Domenico Chorba, she had formerly resided in Somerset, NJ.

Barbara worked in the accounts department for Johnson & Johnson and was a part time public notary. A member of the Flemington Woman’s Club, she was a volunteer for the American Cancer Society. She was an avid gardener, an amazing cook, loved to travel and try new things

She was pre-deceased by her husband Joseph P. Sanfedele, Sr. in 2002 and a sister Lorraine Krauss in 1995. Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph P. and Lisa Sanfedele, Jr. of Long Pond, PA and Michael and Kelly Sanfedele of Kendall Park, NJ; one daughter and her fiancé, Laura Zacek and Stephen Mauro of Flemington, NJ; one sister, Dorothy Doherty of Princeton, NJ; one granddaughter, Angela Marie Sanfedele of Flemington, NJ and four grandsons, Joseph Michael Sanfedele of Long Pond, PA, Walter J. Zacek Jr. of Flemington, NJ, Matthew Zacek of Flemington, NJ and Vincent Sanfedele of Kendall Park, NJ.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Msgr. Walter E. Nolan on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at 10 AM in St. Magdalen de Pazzi Roman Catholic Church, 105 Mine Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, 899 Lincoln Ave, Piscataway Township, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
