With deep love and gratitude, the family of Arturo S. Panganiban announces his peaceful passing on February 4, 2026, surrounded by those who cherished him most. He was 79 years old.
A devoted husband, a proud father, and a joyful grandfather, Arturo lived a life marked by service, compassion, humor, and unwavering love. He shared 52 wonderful years with his beloved wife, Myrna, who remained his constant companion and greatest blessing.
He was the deeply loved father of Theresa, Jose Mari and wife Karen, and Arthur Jr. (Deceased) and the proud grandfather of five grandchildren, Josh, Mae, JM, Louise and Liam and one great-grandchild, Ellie Maxine, each of whom brought him immeasurable joy. He adored his grandkids so much that he insisted they call him "Daddy Pogi" -pogi meaning "handsome" in Filipino - a name that perfectly captured both his playful spirit and the confidence that made everyone smile.
Before coming to the United States, Arturo spent many years in the Philippines working for the Municipality of Taal, where he touched countless lives. His dedication to helping people find work, offering guidance, encouragement, and hope to families striving for a better future earned him deep respect throughout the community. He was affectionately known as the "Little Mayor," a nickname that reflected not only his leadership and influence but also the warmth and approachability that made people gravitate towards him. His kindness and integrity left a lasting mark on the community he served.
Those who knew him will forever remember his sharp, funny wit and the quick humor that came so naturally to him. He had a gift for delivering the perfect one-liner at just the right moment, turning ordinary days into moments of laughter. His quick-witted charm brought lightness to even the toughest situations, and his humor became one of the many ways he showed love to the people around him.
Arturo lived fully and wholeheartedly. Whether he was sharing a meal, offering a helping hand, or delivering a perfectly timed joke, he had a way of making people feel seen and valued. His presence filled every room with warmth, and his absence will be felt deeply by all who knew him.
He leaves behind a legacy of generosity, resilience, laughter, and love that will continue to inspire those he touched throughout his life.
A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, February 6, 2026 from 5:00 to 9:00 pm at Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ 08822, where family and f1iends are invited to gather, share memories, and honor a life beautifully lived.
