Arthea E. Davis

Arthea E. Davis, age 85 years, passed away peacefully at Luther Woods Nursing Home in Hatboro, PA on Wednesday, January 15, 2026. Born on November 30, 1940, Arthea was a long-time resident of Hunterdon County, NJ and member of the Hunterdon Central Regional High School Class of 1959.

Arthea is survived by three sons, Brian Davis and his wife, Caroline of Willow Grove, PA, Mark Davis and wife, Adrienne of Baxter, TN, and Matthew Davis of Phillipsburg, NJ. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Arthea was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar R. Reed and Helen M. Reed. She was also predeceased by her husband, Ronald A. Davis, and a son, Elmer Scott Davis.

Arthea was moved with compassion for those who were less fortunate, especially children. In her limited resources, she was always ready to knit or crochet hats, scarves, and mittens for children in her community. In addition, she volunteered for many years at the Good News Home for Women in Flemington, NJ teaching ceramics.

Arthea’s desire was to have a graveside service, which will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at Prospect Hill Cemetery, 69 Capner Street, Flemington, NJ.
