Anthony Gessner

Anthony Gessner, age 84 years, of Kingwood Township, NJ, died on Sunday, August 28, 2011, at his residence.

Born in Elizabeth, NJ, December 28, 1926, he was the son of the late Valentine and Mary Strifler Gessner.

He was a retired steelworker.

He was pre-deceased by his brothers, Valentine, Joseph, Andrew, Frank, and Martin Gessner and a sister, Teresa Balogh. Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth (Betty) Polauf Gessner; a son, Mark Gessner, of Houston, TX; a daughter, Robin Gessner, of Seattle, WA; and two grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, September 4, 2011 at 1:30 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be private.
