Anna V. Storr

September 12, 1937 — December 1, 2025

Flemington, NJ

Anna Violet Storr passed away peacefully on Monday afternoon, December 1, 2025, surrounded by her loving family while under hospice care. She was 88 years old. Born on September 12, 1937, in Easton, PA, Anna was the daughter of the late Alvin and Helen (Toth) Heckman. She was a life-long member of the Hunterdon County, NJ community, primarily living in Frenchtown and Flemington throughout her life.

Anna was a graduate of Frenchtown High School. She then dedicated over twenty years of her life to her role as a school bus driver for the Flemington-Raritan Regional School District. It was more than just a job for her; it was a true calling where she found immense happiness. Her love for her students was evident, and she remembered each of her students fondly. She often reminisced about her time driving the bus, keeping a photo album filled with pictures of the children she had driven over the years.

Anna possessed a strong-willed personality, devoted to her family and all those she cared about. She took great pride in her children, grandchildren, and her beloved three month old great-granddaughter, Willow, whom she was able to meet before her passing.

Beyond her career, Anna enjoyed a variety of hobbies and interests that brought her joy. She had a passion for antiquing and loved scouring flea markets for hidden treasures. Her collection of Avon cologne bottles was a testament to her unique tastes, as was her fondness for anything related to George Washington or Elvis Presley. Additionally, she cherished the many adventures she had traveling with her late husband, Roger, to beautiful tropical destinations including Bermuda, Florida, Hawaii, and the Virgin Islands.

Anna is survived by her daughter, Melody Stryker; her grandchildren, Nicholas, Harmony, and Kristopher Stryker, who affectionately called her "Grammy"; and her great-granddaughter, Willow. She is also survived by her siblings, Robert Heckman and Caroline Storr, along with her sister-in-law, Mary Miller.

She was predeceased by her husband of 39 years, Roger W. Storr, who passed in 2016, and her daughter, Lisa Hack, who left this world in 2023.
