He was born in Brooklyn, NY on January 15, 1927.

Mr. Holmes was a United States Army veteran of the Korean War.

He then worked as an accountant for the Glen Gardner Center for Geriatrics.

Alvin was survived by his wife, Anita G. Holmes.

Interment in The Evergreens Cemetery, 1629 Bushwick Ave, Brooklyn, NY.
