Born in Caldwell, NJ on November 11, 1901, she was the daughter of the late Charles Norbury and Alice Louise Matthews.

She worked as a Teacher in the Newark School System for many years.

Alice was predeceased by her husband, Douglas Harrison, who died in 1971.
