Agnes T. Reid

December 15, 1931 — June 8, 2026

Lanoka Harbor, NJ

Agnes T. Reid, a devoted wife and mother who cherished the simplicity of life and the joys of family, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2026, in Lanoka Harbor, New Jersey, surrounded by her family. Born on December 15, 1931, in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Agnes’s long life was marked by dedication to her family and community.

Agnes was born to Albert and Margaret (O'Brien) Letellier and grew up in a large family with eleven siblings. Early in life, she moved from Cambridge to Wilmington, Massachusetts, where she completed her high school education. Her journey in life took a significant turn when she met her future husband, the late William J. Reid, Jr. at a roller rink in New Hampshire. Soon engaged and married, the young couple started their married life in Elizabeth, New Jersey, eventually raising their family in Roselle, New Jersey.

A steadfast pillar of support for her family, Agnes was happiest as a homemaker, pouring love and care into nurturing her three daughters and later, delighting in the company of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was deeply involved in her daughters’ early years, taking pride in her role within the Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO), a testament to her commitment to their education and well-being.

Agnes delighted in simple pleasures. She enjoyed playing Bingo at St. Joseph’s Church in Roselle, tending to her flower garden with gentle hands, aiding her grandchildren with their homework, and engaging her sharp mind with word search puzzles. Her adventurous spirit was reflected in the cherished day-trips she took alongside Bill, moments she recounted fondly throughout her life.

Her final years were spent in the welcoming community of Flemington for twelve years before settling in Lanoka Harbor. There, Agnes continued to embrace the values she held dear: family, faith, and tranquility.

She leaves behind her beloved daughters Karen and Tom Davis of Lanoka Harbor, New Jersey, and Susan and Al Coladonato of Freehold, New Jersey. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren—Jason, Christine, Dylan, Lauren and Brianna—and an extended family of nine great-grandchildren who brought her endless joy. Agnes is also survived by two sisters, who shared a lifetime of memories.  In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter, Linda Carver in 2016 and her husband of sixty-one years, William J. Reid, Jr. in 2020.

Agnes’s funeral Mass will be celebrated on June 22, 2026, at St. Magdalen Church, located at 105 Mine Street, Flemington, New Jersey, beginning at 9:45 a.m. Following the Mass, her burial will take place alongside Bill at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown, Pennsylvania, at 11:30 a.m.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main St. Flemington NJ 08822.  For further information or to leave an online condolence, please visit www.holcombefisher.com.
