Winifred D. Hoff

Winifred D. "Winnie" Hoff, age 91 years, of Pittstown, NJ, died on Sunday, January 6, 2008, at her residence.

Born in Staten Island, NY, June 22, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Virginia Gurey Kuntz. She spent her childhood in rural Stockton, NJ from 1918-1934 and returned to Hunterdon County, NJ from Staten Island, NY in 1996.

Winnie retired from the New York City Board of Education as a lunch room cook in 1980.

She attended Sand Brook Grade School, Delaware Township, NJ, and Flemington High School. She also attended the Bethlehem Presbyterian Church, Pittstown, NJ.

Her husband, Harold T. Hoff, died in 1995. She was also pre-deceased by her siblings, Virginia Hall, Frances (Babe) Fancher, and Edward (Sonny) Kuntz, Jr. Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, William J. and Karen Hoff of Pittstown, NJ, and Bruce H. and June Hoff of Edison, NJ; a grandson, Bruce P. Hoff and his wife Kathleen of Edison, NJ; a granddaughter, Barbi Hoff-Barber and husband Kevin of Wilmington, NC; a great-granddaughter, Laine Winifred Barber, and a sister-in-law, Gladys Kuntz of Wescosville, PA.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday at 1:30 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be in St. Magdalen Cemetery, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Monday from 7-9 PM in the funeral home.
