Wilson H. Hoff

Wilson H. Hoff, age 88 years, of Clinton Township, NJ, died on Saturday, January 5, 2008 in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born February 21, 1919, son of the late Frank and Daisy German Hoff, he had resided in Clinton Township for the past fifty-eight years.

Mr. Hoff was formerly a Farm Manager for many years on various farms throughout Hunterdon and Mercer counties. Additionally, he was formerly a Machine Operator at Johns-Manville, Manville, NJ.

A member of the International Association of Square Dance Callers, Mr. Hoff called and taught square dancing for fifty-four years, retiring in 2004. He was a member of numerous square dance clubs throughout Hunterdon and Somerset counties. Additionally, he enjoyed playing cards and bowling, and was a member of the Spicy Seniors Bowling League, Frenchtown, NJ.

His first wife, Sarah I. Hoff, died in 1989 and a sister, Florence D. Farlee, died in 2006.

Surviving are his wife of thirteen years, Sally Williamson Hoff; a son and daughter-in-law, Walter W. and Darlene A. Hoff of Easton, PA; a step-son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Cynthia Fordyce of Booton, NJ; two step-daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and Thomas Brozosky of Richwood, NJ and Judith and Eric Okamoto of Clayton, NC; a sister, Jennie Burket of Pennington, NJ; nine grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will follow in Sandy Ridge Cemetery, Delaware Township, NJ.
