Mr. Shely was a Seaman, 1st class in the United States Navy, serving during World War II.
He was born in Kentucky on December 24, 1915.
His wife, Loshie (Barnett) Shely, predeceased him in 1981.
Funeral services were under the direction of Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, Flemington.
Interment was in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Flemington.
