Born August 15, 1895 in Rochester, Minnesota, he was the son of William H. and Eva (Phillips) Davenport. Mr. Davenport was a partner in Bising & Davenport Inc., Brooklyn, NY.

Funeral services were held in Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, Flemington. Interment was private.
