Born in Ringoes, NJ on April 16, 1887, he was the son of the late Joseph Van Marter and Mary Y. Fisher.

Mr. Van Marter was a farmer for many years.

He was survived by his wife, Eva (Smith) Van Marter, of Ringoes.

Interment in Amwell Ridge Cemetery, Ringoes, NJ.
