Born in Middlesex County, NJ on February 15, 1886, he was the son of the late Lewis Phillips and Mary L. Meseroll.

Mr. Phillips was a self-employed farmer for many years.

William was predeceased by his wife, Beulah (Thompson) Phillips, who died in 1947.

Interment in Union Cemetery, Boss Road, Ringoes, NJ.
