Walter Edward Norwich, Sr.

Walter Edward Norwich, Sr., age 79 years, of Northampton, PA, died on Saturday, July 21, 2007 at his residence.

Born July 7, 1928 in Flemington, NJ, son of the late John and Estella Norwich, he had resided in Northampton for the past month, having previously lived in Sciota, PA, Hackettstown, NJ and Flemington, NJ for many years.

He had formerly worked for Flemington Agway, Flemington, NJ, then Bemis Bag Corp., Raritan Township, NJ.

A son, Walter E. Norwich, Jr., died in 1999.

Surviving are a daughter, Charlene Diehl of Northampton, PA; a son, Craig Norwich of Hackettstown, NJ; eight grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

Visitation will take place Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Flemington, NJ. Please visit www.holcombefisher.com for further information or to send condolences.
