Thomas Harley Handley, Sr.

Thomas Harley Handley, Sr., age 88 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Monday, December 6, 2004, in the Hunterdon Care Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in St. Clair, AL, August 29, 1916, he was the son of the late Thomas M. and Vera Beason Handley.

Mr. Handley had previously resided in Oak Ridge, TN since 1944, before moving to Raritan Township, NJ in 2004. He was a retired chemist, having worked for the United States Department of Energy Facilities in Oak Ridge, TN.

His wife,the former Helen Francis Mullins, died in 1999 and a daughter, Mary Catherine Handley, died in 1994 He is survived by a daughter, Pat Nevin, of Branchburg Township, NJ; a son, Thomas Harley Handley, Jr., of Claremont, CA.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be private under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in Oak Ridge Memorial Park, Oak Ridge, TN. There will be no calling hours.
