Sophie Schager

Sophie Schager, age 85 years, of Delaware Township, NJ, died on Saturday, October 16, 2010 in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in Yugoslavia, January 7, 1925, daughter of the late Johann and Aloysia Perz Mausser, she had resided in this area for the past twenty-five years, having formerly lived in Queens, NY.

A Homemaker, she was a Communicant of St. Magdalen Church, Flemington, NJ.

Her husband, John Schager, died in 2001.

Surviving are her son, Helmut Schager of Delaware Township, NJ; a sister, Erna Kikel of Morris Plains, NJ; and a brother, Bernhart Mausser of Queens, NY.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Magdalen Church, 105 Mine Street, Flemington, NJ under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
