KINGWOOD TWP. -- Aldo Aloise died Feb. 8, 2000 at Hunterdon Medical Center. He was 75.
Mr. Aloise was born in New York City, the son of Guido and Josephine Perrella Aloise . He lived in Kingwood Township for 70 years.
Mr. Aloise was a farmer and self-employed trucker, hauling for various businesses in the area.
He suffered burns over 65% of his body in a 1981 explosion at the U.S. Bronze Powders plant in Raritan Township which claimed two lives. The three men had been involved in moving aluminum powder from Mr. Aloise 's tanker to storage bins when the explosion occurred.
Mr. Aloise was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Milford.
He is survived by his mother, of Elmsford, N.Y., and two sisters, Irene Materi of Elmsford, and Emily Polidoro of Long Island, N.Y.
A funeral liturgy was held Saturday at Our Lady of Victories Church in Baptistown.
Interment was in Frenchtown Cemetery under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home of Flemington.
