Milton L. Hockenbury, age 82 years, of Ringoes, NJ, died on Tuesday, August 2, 2005 in the Hunterdon Care Center, Raritan Township, NJ.
Born in Ringoes, NJ, November 11, 1922 to the late Levi and Myrtie Parkes Hockenbury, he lived in Ringoes most of his life.
A 1941 Graduate of Flemington High school, he was owner and operator of Hockenbury Electric, Ringoes, NJ for many years.
Mr. Hockenbury was formerly an Elder and Trustee of the 1st English Presbyterian Church of Amwell at Reaville, NJ. A Lifelong Ham Radio Operator whose call number was W2PKE, he was an organizer of the Cherryville Repeaters Radio Club, Cherryville, NJ.
His wife, Audrey Toles Hockenbury, died in 1997. Surviving are two brothers, Irvin Hockenbury of Ringoes, NJ and Carl Hockenbury of Flemington, NJ; a sister, Nancy Ringer of Flemington, NJ; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the 1st English Presbyterian Church of Amwell, Reaville, NJ under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will follow in Amwell Ridge Cemetery, Larisons Corner, NJ. Calling hours will be Monday from 7-9 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
