Martin Siecke, age 70 years, of Delaware Township, NJ, died on Sunday, April 22, 2012, in Arbor Glen, Bridgewater, NJ.
Born in New York City, NY, June 1, 1941, he was the son of the late Martin W. and Anna Jachens Siecke.
He was a retired Chemical Engineer with National Starch in Bridgewater, NJ. He was a Professional Engineer and a Certified Safety Professional.
Mr. Siecke was a two-time Democratic nominee for Hunterdon County Freeholder and was active in Delaware Township politics, serving on the Board of Adjustment and the Municipal Utilities Board. He was a member of the League of Women Voters and was active in the United Way.
Surviving are his wife, Linda Windsor Siecke; two sons and daughters-in-law, Sumner W. and Joanne Siecke of Delaware Township, NJ, and Warren W. and Caroline Siecke of Exeter, NH; a brother, Albert Siecke, of Lanoka Harbor, NJ; a sister, Marianne Brower, of Toms River, NJ; and five grandchildren: Patricia Toter, Nicole Noble, Sumner R. Siecke, India Siecke, and Celeste Siecke.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at 11:30 AM in Unity Spiritual Center, Bellwood Avenue, Pattenburg, NJ under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be private. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM in the funeral home.
