Maizie N. Morgan, age 90 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Monday, September 5, 2005 at Independence Manor, Raritan Township, NJ, where she resided.

Born in Flemington, NJ, May 30, 1915, daughter of the late William and Mary Ellen Rake Smith, she had resided in Raritan Township the past two years, having previously resided in Flemington and High Bridge, NJ.

Mrs. Morgan worked for RCA, Somerville, NJ as an assembler for twenty years, retiring in 1977.

She was a member of the Flemington United Methodist Church, Flemington, NJ. She was formerly a member of the Kirkpatrick Memorial Presbyterian Church, Ringoes, NJ and the High Bridge United Methodist Church, High Bridge, NJ.

A favorite hobby of Mrs. Morgan's was finding and collecting four-leaf clovers and she was well-known for this. Additionally, she was a retired member of the Amwell Valley Fire Company's Ladies Auxiliary as well as a member of the Pocahontas.

Her first husband, Howard Thompson, died in 1958 and her second husband, Edmund Morgan, died in 1989. She was also pre-deceased by two brothers, William and George Smith as well as a sister, Mary Milligan.

Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Howard J. and Gail Thompson of Ringoes, NJ; a grandson, Kenneth H. Thompson of Ringoes, NJ; a great-granddaughter, Sabrina J. Thompson of Ringoes, NJ; two brothers, Charles Smith of Flemington, NJ and Jacob Smith of Oxford, NJ; seven sisters, Katherine Bryne of Granville Summit, PA, Doris Sipler of Flemington, NJ, Hazel Novak of Trenton, NJ, Betty Smith of Flemington, NJ, Bessie Biel of High Bridge, NJ, Edith Thatcher of High Bridge, NJ and Annie Church of Groton, NY; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside Services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Cherryville Cemetery, Cherryville, NJ under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. There will be no calling hours. Please visit www.holcombefisher.com for further information or to send condolences.
