Lewis A. Godown Jr.

The Easton Express Easton, PA 07/17/2001, PG. B-5 Lewis Godown Jr., Vietnam War veteran Lewis Godown Jr., 60, of Kingwood Township died Sunday, July 15, in his home. He was a lace weaver at lace mills in Lambertville and Troy, R.I. before retiring. Born April 22, 1941, in Kingwood Township, he was a son of Louise VanHorn Godown of Kingwood Township and the late Lewis Godown Sr. he resided in Kingwood Township for most of his life, moving to Hope, R.I. for 18 years before returning to Kingwood Township in 1996. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War. His wife the former Sadie Stansfield, died in 1997. In addition to his mother, he is survived by a brother, Robert of Oxford; and a sister, Emily Fitzer of Kingwood Township. A sister, Shirley Ecker, and a brother, Roy VanHorn Sr., died earlier. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main St., Flemington. There will be no calling hours. Burial will be in Rosemont Cemetery.
