Leslie Herrington

Leslie Herrington, age 86 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Tuesday, March 11, 2014, at her residence.

Born in Paynesville, WV, May 20, 1927, she was the daughter of the late John and Bertha Mullins Asbury. She had resided in Hunterdon County, NJ for over fifty years.

She was a retired machine operator with Lipton Tea, Raritan Township, NJ.

She was pre-deceased by her husband, John Albert Herrington, in 1989; a son Jackie; sister Verna; and brothers Hassel, J.D., James, and Cecil. Surviving are two sons, Kenneth Herrington of Belvidere, NJ and Joseph Herrington of Powhatan, VA; four daughters: Jo-Anne Smith of Doylestown, PA, Marilyn Yard of Flemington, NJ, Leslie "Kim" Matilainen of Orange, MA, and Laurie Wille of Raritan Township, NJ; two brothers, Basil Asbury of Quakertown, PA and Stanley Asbury of Union, WV; two sisters, Fern Lynn of Union, WV and Carolyn Lynn of North Wales, PA; seventeen grandchildren; and twenty-two great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, March 17, 2014 at 11 AM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Alexandria Township, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, March 16, 2014 from 5-7 PM in the funeral home.
