Born in Illinois on May 21, 1883, he was the son of the late George W. Funk and Roseltha Fitzwilliam.

Mr. Funk was a retired consulting engineer.

He was survived by his wife, Nellie Catherine Funk.

Interment in Funk's Grove Cemetery, McLean County, Illinois.
