Born in Massachusetts on August 17, 1910, he was the son of Henry and Regina Harmsen.

Mr. Harmsen was a retired engraver.

He was survived by his wife, Eva (Moore) Harmsen.

Interment in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Capner Street, Flemington, NJ.
