"Joe" Francis Paul Joseph Castellano, age 84 years, of Branchburg Township, NJ, died on Friday, May 23, 2008 at his residence.
Born in Jersey City, NJ, October 27, 1923, he was the son of the late Joseph Paul and Margaret Ladisa Castellano. He had resided in Branchburg Township for the past seven years, having previously lived in Toms River, NJ, Raritan Township, NJ and Readington, NJ.
He retired in 1992 as a Custodian with the Three Bridges School, Three Bridges, NJ after eleven years there. Prior to that he had worked at Durling Farms and Cooper Ford, both in Whitehouse Station, NJ.
A Member of the Clover Hill Reformed Church, Clover Hill, NJ, he was also a Founding Member of the Readington Fire Company, Station 32, Readington, NJ.
Surviving are his wife whom he married on October 6, 1962, Grace E. Bray Castellano; a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Robin Bowers of Baptistown, NJ; three daughters and sons-in-law, Margaret and Gregory Hedden of Flemington, NJ; Katherine and Brian Hedden of Great Meadows, NJ and Janet and James Boganski of Whitehouse Station, NJ; nine grandchildren, William Bowers, Andrew Hedden, Joshua Hedden, Sara Boganski, Kyle Hedden, Kristopher Boganski, Zachary Hedden, Emma-Lee Boganski, and Jennifer Bowers; and one great granddaughter, Allison Bowers.
He was pre-deceased by a sister, Marie Magrini.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. in the Clover Hill Reformed Church, Amwell Road, Clover Hill, NJ under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will follow in Readington Cemetery, Readington, NJ. Calling hours will be Monday from 7:00-9:00 p.m. in the Funeral Home.
