Born August 14, 1899 in Newark, NJ, he was the son of George and Barbara (Pfennig) Schwing. He was a sheet metal worker for Local #10, Newark, NJ.

Henry was predeceased by his wife, Hazel (Kraemer) Schwing, in 1978.

Funeral services were held in Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, Flemington. Interment was in Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold, NJ.
