Born in Hunterdon County, NJ on October 30, 1883, he was the son of the late Steven Yard and Charity Emmons.

Mr. Yard owned Yard's Meat Market here locally.

He was survived by his wife, Anna (Snyder) Yard.

Interment in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Capner Street, Flemington, NJ.
