Gordon R. Lunger, age 92 years, of the Three Bridges section of Readington Township, NJ, died on Sunday, May 9, 2004 at the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.
Born in Jordan Township, PA, January 17, 1912, he was the son of the late James and Ethel Pearl Reed Lunger. He had resided in Montoursville, PA for forty-five years before moving to Three Bridges in 1995.
He was a retired insurance agent for Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, out of their Williamsport, PA office. He was a member of the Three Bridges Reformed Church, Three Bridges, NJ.
He was predeceased by his wife, Helen Thomas Lunger, a brother, LaRue Lunger, and a sister, Thelma Dietsch. He is survived by a son, Dr. Richard T. Lunger, of Flemington, NJ; a daughter, Judith MacNeill, of Webster,MA; a brother, Glenn Lunger, of Williamsport, PA; six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2004 at 1 PM in the Three Bridges Reformed Church, Three Bridges, NJ. Another Memorial Service will take place on Sunday, September 19, 2004 at 2 PM in the Faith Methodist Church, Montoursville, PA. Interment will be private. There will be no calling hours.
