Born in Flemington, NJ on December 6, 1886, he was the son of the late Bergen H. Berkaw and Elizabeth Abel.

Mr. Berkaw was the retired owner of Berkaw & Mathews Feeds in Flemington, NJ.

He was survived by his wife, Janet (Cameron) Berkaw.

Interment in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Capner Street, Flemington, NJ.
