F. Gordon Tannahill

F. Gordon Tannahill, age 78 years, of Readington Township, NJ, died on April 30, 2005, in the Hunterdon Care Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in Newark, NJ, December 14, 1926, he was the son of the late Frederick F. and Cleal Doherty Tannahill.

He had formerly resided in East Orange, NJ.

He was a sales representative first for Kansas City Southern Railroad, and then for C & H Transportation, Dallas, TX., retiring in 1984.

He was a United States Marine Corps veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He was a member of the "Chosin Few" veterans group, the Stanton Reformed Church, Stanton, NJ, and a former member of the Hunterdon County Republican Club.

Surviving are his wife, Barbara Townsend Tannahill; a son and daughter-in-law, Gordon and Martina Tannahill of Las Vegas, NV; two daughters, Ruth Tannahill of Phillipsburg, NJ, and Carol Gold of Flemington, NJ, and two grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday at 11 AM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be private in Mt. Hebron Cemetery, Upper Montclair, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM in the funeral home. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday at 10:30 AM in the Stanton Reformed Church, Stanton, NJ.
