Emma R. Hartmann

Emma R. Hartmann, age 97 years, of Union Township, NJ died Wednesday, December 8, 2004 at her residence.

Born in Queens, NY, March 28, 1907, daughter of the late John and Mary Rabely Gyuro, she had formerly resided in Pittstown, NJ, then in West New York, NJ and had resided in Union Township since 1941.

She was formerly employed in a Union City knitting mill. She was a member of the Union Township Senior Citizens and was active for many years in Transcendental Meditation Groups in Hunterdon County.

Her husband, Herman Hartmann, died in 1970. Surviving are a daughter, Mary Brown, of Ledbury, Herefordshire, Endland; a son, John Hartmann of Lexington, KY; and a sister, Martha Bandino of Hillside, NJ.

Funeral Servics will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be private in Union Cemetery, Grandin, NJ. There will be no calling hours. Please visit www.holcombefisher.com for further information or to send condolences.
