Edward J. Walen

Edward J. Walen, age 83 years, of Kingwood Township, NJ, died on Monday, June 13, 2005, in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in New York City, May 13, 1922, son of the late John and Mary Miller Walen, he had resided in Kingwood Township since 1945.

He was a self-employed commercial artist and was a United States Army veteran of World War II, serving in England, France and Germany.

Surviving are his wife Olga Opiela Walen; two sons, David of Richmond, VA and Michael of Kingwood Township, NJ; and a brother, Robert Walen in New Jersey.

A Memorial Mass will be held Thursday at 9 a.m. in Our Lady of Victories Church, Rt. 519, Baptistown, NJ under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
