Edward A. Pearce, age 76 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Tuesday, May 31, 2005, in the Hunterdon Care Center, Raritan Township, NJ.
Born in Neptune, NJ, October 4, 1928, he was the son of the late Everett and Augusta Andrew Pearce.
He was a United States Army veteran of the Korean War.
Mr. Pearce was a self-employed painting contractor, retiring in 1997. He was a member of American Legion Post #159, Flemington, NJ.
Surviving are his wife of nearly fifty years, Florence Swider Pearce; his sons, Michael Pearce of Milford, NJ, and Edward Pearce, Jr. of Pattenburg, NJ; his daughters; Patricia Stover of Ringoes, NJ, Nancy Pearce of Kingwood, NJ, and Linda Pearce of Pittstown, NJ, and five grandchildren: Matt, Katie, and Kim Stover, and Heather and Ashley Housman.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10 AM in St. Magdalen Church, 105 Mine Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be in St. Magdalen Cemetery, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
