Charlotte Coon Copeland

Charlotte Coon Copeland died on Tuesday, August 30, 2005 at her home. She was 82.

Born in Chicago, Illinois to Elvin and Valena Coon, she graduated from Flemington High School and Douglas College with a degree in Nursing. She was a Head Nurse at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts.

In 1945 she married Harrie Copeland, Jr. and moved to Delaware Township, NJ. She was a partner in the family business, Harrie E. Copeland and Son, providing office furniture and supplies to local businesses.

Surviving is her brother, E. Ralph Coon, Jr. of Manassas, Virginia, her son Harrie Copeland III of Sergeantsville, NJ and daughters Janet Black of Bethel, Maine and Nancy Padfield of Springfield, Tennessee, six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Private family graveside services were held at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Flemington, NJ, under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Please visit www.holcombefisher.com for further information or to send condolences.
