Catherine Stairs

Catherine Stairs, age 54 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Sunday, August 22, 2004 at her residence.

Born March 16, 1950 in Chicago, IL to the late Frank and Rosemary McIntyre Pater, she had resided in Raritan Township the past eight years, having previously resided in Arlington, TX, Palm Harbor, FL and Lisle, IL before that.

Mrs. Stairs received her B.S. in Special Education from Northern Illinois University and worked as a Special Education Teacher for the past eight years at the Bridgewater-Raritan High School, Bridgewater, NJ.

She was a communicant of St. Magdalen Church, Flemington, NJ.

Surving are her husband of twenty years, Lance Stairs; a son, David DeMumbrum of Atlanta, GA; two daughters, Gail and Renee Stairs, both of Raritan Township, NJ; two brothers, Frank Pater of Wilmington, DE and Edward Pater of Arlington Heights, IL; and five sisters, Rosemary Mattick of Bolingbrook, IL, Joyce Kramer of Darien, IL, Christine Blondin of Woodridge, IL, Carol Norton of Berkeley, IL and Beth Lamoureux of Berkeley, IL.

Funeral services will take place on Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 1-2 p.m. Interment will be in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside Illinois. Please visit www.holcombefisher.com for further information.
