Born January 25, 1902 in Wayne County, Michigan, she was the daughter of Edward and Pelegia (Ryman) Jendrzejewski. Her husband, Stanley Mathews, died in 1978.
Funeral services were held at Step Funeral Home, Redford, Michigan. Interment was in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Southfield, Michigan.
