Arthur A. Amerise

Arthur A. Amerise, age 79 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Monday, March 29, 2010 at his residence.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, July 26, 1930, he was the son of the late Joseph and Carmella Ascorbis Amerise. He had formerly resided in Brooklyn, NY before moving to Raritan Township, NJ in 2005.

He was a retired tractor trailer driver with Sea Land Corporation, Queens, NY, and was a member of Teamsters Local #807 and 813.

Surviving are his wife of fifty-three years, Vera Perino Amerise; a son, Mark Amerise of Brooklyn, NY; two daughters and a son-in-law, Lynn Amerise of Hillsborough, NJ, and Cindy and Michael Savas of Ringoes, NJ; a sister, Gloria Elia of Brooklyn, NY; and four grandchildren: Michael, Melissa, Carmella, and Nicole.

Memorial Services will be held on Wednesday at 5 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be private. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 3-5 PM in the funeral home.
