Anthony Amante, age 88 years, of Delaware Township, NJ, died on Tuesday, January 4, 2005, at the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.
Born in New York City, NY, January 27, 1916, son of the late Louis and Theresa Gaeta Amante, he had formerly resided in Bayonne, NJ.
He was a shipping clerk at the Military Ocean Terminal, Bayonne, NJ, retiring in 1981.
His wife, Flora Orrigo Amante, died in 2000. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Olivia and Louis Albani, of Delaware Township, NJ; and a grandson, Vincent Albani, of Delaware Township, NJ.
A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, January 9, 2005 at 1:30 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be private. There will be no calling hours.
