Andrew J Martalus, 88, of Tewksbury Township, NJ, died Wednesday, March 5, 1997, in Hunterdun Care Nursing Home in Flemington, NJ. He was formerly of East Elm Street in Lebanon, and was the husband of the late Anna H Liptock Martalus.

Born in Westmoreland County on Jan 24, 1909, he was a son of the late Andrew and Maria Tobosco Martalus. He had been employed at the former Lebanon Steel Foundry and later worked in construction. He was a member of the Church of St Benedict the Abbott in Lebanon, Mt Zion and Friendship fire companies, and the Republican Club.

Survivng are a son and daughter-in-law, Robert J and Barbara Martalus, with whom he resided; grandsons Christopher and Brian Martalus; sisters Helen Cox and Mary Massar, both of Lebanon, and several nieces and nephews.

Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery, Lebanon, PA.
