Albert F. Eble, age 80 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Monday, November 12, 2007, at his residence.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, June 21, 1927, he was the son of the late Albert J. and Lillian Hagedorn Eble. He had resided in Raritan Township since 1954.
A Marine Biology and Physiology professor, he formerly was on the faculty at Trenton Junior College, and then of Trenton State College, retiring after forty-five years of teaching.
Mr. Eble graduated with a B.A. in Biology from Hofstra University in 1952, and his M.A. in Biology from the University of Miami in 1953, and his Ph.D. in Marine Biology from Rutgers University in 1963.
He was a forty-seven year member of Copper Hill Country Club, Raritan Township, NJ, and he was a member of the New Jersey Academy of Science and the Marine Sciences Consortium.
Mr. Eble was a United States Merchant Marine veteran of World War II.
Surviving are his wife, Pauline Pavelock Eble; two daughters, Carolyn Eberstein of Raritan Township, NJ, and Christine Munger of Burlington, NJ; three sons, Albert S. Eble of Third Lake, IL, Cortland F. Eble of Lexington, KY, and Christopher W. Eble of Bedminster, NJ; and ten grandchildren.
Services and interment will be private under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. There will be no calling hours.
