Born June 29, 1921 in Wilkes-Barre, PA, she was the daughter of William J. and Gertrude (Mitchell) Thompson. She was survived by her husband, Joseph O'Byrne.

Funeral services were held in Wilkes-Barre, PA. Interment was in Oaklawn Cemetery, Hanover Township, PA.
