Spending time with Ed was always a joy. He was a warm-hearted, gentle person with a ready smile and quick wit. He was always ready for an adventure, road trip, or game of cards. He loved words and puns and was widely read, sharing much of his learning in good conversation. He will be missed by many.

In addition to his parents, Ed was predeceased by his sister, Madeline Peeler. He is survived by his brother and sister-law-law, Leo and Miriam Reiss, his brother, John Reiss, his sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary and Kevin Arthur, and Agnes Reiss and her husband, James Zachara, as well as his brother-in-law, Lee Peeler. He is also survived by several beloved cousins, nephews, nieces, grand nephews, and a grand niece.
