Clara A. Sjogren
PALMYRA, VA -
Clara A. Sjogren died and went to be with her Lord after a short battle with lung cancer on December 24, 2013 at 4 a.m. She was 83 years old and led a productive life ministering for the Lord.
She was born May 14, 1930 in Newark, New Jersey to Friederch and Hilda Braun. After graduation from Shelton College in Ringwood, New Jersey, she became a third and fifth grade teacher for 17 years. She was also a cofounder of the Calvary Gospel Church in Newark, New Jersey. She married Dr. Robert Sjogren of Schenectady, New York and moved to Burlington, Vermont where she served her Lord at the North Avenue Alliance Church.
Her indomitable spirit, steady loving and uplifting personality were a treasure and will be remembered by her husband and companion of 41 years. He will miss her smiles, love, and their memorable times together, ministering, travelling, and especially at family prayer time. She is survived by her husband, her brother and his wife, Siegie and Klara Braun of Sergeantsville, New Jersey and their two sons Stephen and Timothy, and their families as well as a niece Madeline Braun.
As the Lord enriched her life, so did her presence enrich the lives of those fortunate to have been blessed by her generosity and love. She will be sorely missed but not forgotten now she is in the loving arms of her Savior Jesus Christ.
